LPE Project

What is this project?:

For a while I have been working on this project and I have a lot of it in my head, but not on paper. Just to let you know I started Marble Hornets around the beginning of 2023 and I had this idea for a series soon after. Everything on this document is everything I have for the series, it took me a while to realize that I needed help if I ever wanted to get this done. So that’s why I have this project, to finally get this series out of my head and somewhere real! It probably doesn’t make sense how you can get this out of my head, but knowing that there are people caring for this project should be enough to get the digital pen moving.

This project is a multimedia art piece meant to tell a mental health piece in a horror story.

The main story is about a girl named Mel who was obsessed with the case of a murdering boy, The homicide of the Pirkles. Lynn Pirkle, the murderer, killed his entire family on the 1st of February, 2016. One day Mel finds a box with a camera and a few polaroids, at first, she thinks nothing of it until she sees one of the polaroids has Lynn on it. Mel goes through the recordings and she begins to upload the entries, as this continues Mel starts getting signs that something might not be right, from simple migraines to food rotting within minutes.

I have so much more planned, this is just the beginning of the story.

The story underneath, however, is about how a one person’s story can only be told coherently, without twist, by the witnesses themselves. The story of you is fragile but only sparse if you choose it to be, you may think your life is boring, or ‘nothing to write home about’, but someone will listen and pass it on. The game of telephone is best played with your story. Maybe you drove a car to and back in your story but in a different version you drove that car into a ditch, your story, same as the original or dramatic, will one day leave someone’s jaw hanging as long as you pass it on.
