Free Games
This group is for notifying people of games that are free to keep. (Free to play and free weekends don't count.)
Rules:
- No piracy. This should go without saying.
- No NSFW/18+ games.
- URL Shorteners are not allowed. Post a link directly to the store page.
- No free to play or free weekends. This is for games that normally have a price, but is currently free to claim and kept forever. The forever part is important. The only exception to this rule is if it is a free game going paid, or is being delisted, provided you keep the game and it is still playable afterwards.
- No games that are only free with a paid subscription. These include Prime Gaming, XBox Game Pass, and PlayStation Plus.
- No raffles. Only post freebies that at least 1000 people can get.
- Only post freebies that are live. Don't post upcoming freebies here, wait until it's actually live. If you are required to do something beforehand, then it is allowed.
- Follow our format in titles.
Format: "[Store Name] Game/DLC Name"
Examples: "[Steam] Sludge Life"; "[Epic] "World of Warships - Starter Pack: Ishizuchi" - Include the link and expiration date (if one is provided) in the post.
- If using bulletins, do not set the expiration date to a date before the freebie itself expires. For example, if the freebie is 7 days, set the bulletin to expire in 10 days. If it is 3 days, set the bulletin to 5 days. If a freebie is longer than 10 days, post it as a forum post instead.
- Promotions that require doing any actions on Twitter (X), Instagram, or Threads are not allowed.
- Web3-based games (crypto/NFTs) are not allowed.
- No games that use generative AI, or games that were made using generative AI. This includes, but is not limited to, art, text, music, and voices; and includes if it used in the game itself or on cover art or promotional material. AI in the sense of computer-controlled characters are allowed as it is not generative AI
