Ukagaka
A group dedicated for lovers of the desktop buddies called ukagakas!
The purpose of the software is to display a character on a computer's desktop. Traditionally, a pair of mascot characters is provided. However, some ghosts have only one character or have more than two. These mascot characters can perform some useful functions such as checking e-mail or adjusting the clock of the computer, but are most popular as a conversational desktop companion. They were popular in otaku internet culture of the early 2000s.
