This group is for Marxists/communists/socialists - people who want to change the world for the better! As Rosa Luxemburg said, it's socialism or barbarism, and we intend the former! Please participate in good faith, even if you're not yet convinced.What Is Marxism?
The name 'Marxism' is taken from the communist Karl Marx, and encompasses his (and others') ideas about society as a whole. Crucially, this includes what we can do to improve it. Marxists are not 'great man' theorists - we don't idolize individuals, but recognise that it's society that shapes a person, not the person that shapes society. The individual definitely has a role in history, but lone people aren't the turning points: that's why we organise together!
What Is Communism?
Communism isn't just some vague nice idea to try and achieve - it's the full and total replacement of capitalism (a system of exploitation) with a classless society. In Marx's words, it follows "from each according to their ability, to each according to their need."
What Can I Do?
There is only one solution to the crises of capitalism - communist revolution! If you are a communist, then get organised! Join the IMT (marxist.com) and find branches in your country to join the genuine revolutionary movement.
Education
Education is a cornerstone of being a Marxist - if you don't know, you can't do. If you can't do, there can be no change. A lot of Marxists have written a lot of stuff. The four core theorists (so far!) include Karl Marx, Fredreich Engels, Vladimir Lenin, and Leon Trotsky, but there are hundreds of others, from Rosa Luxemburg to Ted Grant. Head to marxists.org to find thousands of Marxist texts completely for free. You can also find plenty of books and articles on marxist.com (IMT) and communist.red (the British section of the IMT). Otherwise, feel free to discuss the ideas in this group - that's what it's for! Ask any question in good faith, and we'll answer in good faith too :)

Currently it's just maybeinnovember because this group has like five people in it lmao. It's entirely just set up in personal capacity because I want to talk about Marxism with random other Marxists on the internet.
