What is kemonomimi:

Kemonomimi is a Japanese term that refers to humanoid characters with animal-like features such as but not limited to ears, tails, and teeth! The term directly translates to "animal ears"

Why would someone be a kemonomimi:

Contrary to popular belife it has no ties to identity or spirituality, often mixed up with therianthropy, kemonomimi is only a style choice! It has nothing to do with religion, gender identity, or sexual orientation! Its just wearing animal like acesories such as ears, tails, or teeth!

I don't have ears or a tail, can I still be kemonomimi:

Absolutely! Some people just draw their persona with animal like features, that makes them a kemonomimi (if they chose to use that term to describe oneself)!

EWW! its a sexual thing isnt it...:

ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!! Kemonomimi is NOT sexual nor should it be sexualized! Often mistaken for pet play it is not the same! Kemonomimi is not sexual and any age can be a kemonomimi!

Well everyone is a cat or dog kemonomimi...:

Although its true that there are ALOT of cat and dog kemonomimis that does not mean there cant be other animals! If you want to be a rat, go wear rat ears and a tail! Fish? Go find a cool salmon tail and use makeup for gills! Any animal can be a kemonomimi! The skies the limit! Literally.... go be a falcon kemonomimi!
