MARCHING BAND/CONCERT BAND
Heyyyy! So this is a group for people in marching or concert band! So if you're in it for high school or in it for college/university, then here's a place you can talk about the fun things you do in your band or what instrument you play! I have rules to make this a fun, yet safe space. First off, don't be rude to others (no name-calling, slurs, being racist, making fun of someone by the way they look, talk, do, etc). Since mostly marching band starts in high school, this group will be for the ages 14+
Hi! My name is Sarah, and I'm now a sophomore in high school. I play two instruments: the trumpet for marching band (I started playing in the 6th grade) and the flute for concert band (I started playing in the 4th grade, stopped in the 5th, and relearned it in my freshman year). I'm starting to learn two more instruments (the alto sax and piano). This is my second year in marching band; last year we had an undefeated season and won the New Jersey State Championship, the Region 7 Tournament of Bands Championship, and the Group 4 Open Championship. We also went to the NYC St. Patrick's Day Parade. I really hope this season is just as good as last season was. We also have the opportunity to go to Disney, and I really hope we get to go because I've never been to Disney, so I do hope it happens. There's also a way you can help me out to pay for the trip. We have a fundraiser; I will put the info down below, but in any way you could help out by buying something or sending it to others, that would be best.
