Before discussing Spacehey Music, let's look at the history of Myspace Music.

MySpace Music was an online music platform and part of the MySpace social network, launched in 2003. The platform allowed artists and record labels to upload and share their music with the MySpace user community.

The platform was popular among emerging and established artists, enabling them to promote their music and connect with fans. However, MySpace eventually lost popularity to other platforms like Facebook and Spotify.

In 2011, MySpace Music was relaunched as MySpace Music Beta, but it never regained its former success and was ultimately replaced by other online music platforms.

It's worth noting that Spacehey Music is a project inspired by MySpace Music, though its exact nature (replica or modern interpretation) is still being determined.

What is Spacehey Music?

Spacehey Music is a set of custom HTML and CSS code specifically designed to enhance the profiles of musical artists and bands on Spacehey.

This code transforms the standard profile into a complete and functional music promotion page, allowing artists to add elements such as:

Key Features

Additional Navigation Bar: An extra bar with quick, specific music links, including:

• "My music": Links to external platforms like Spotify or the artist's music site.
• "Music Videos": Direct link to the artist's YouTube channel or video site.
• "Featured Playlists": A space where users will find music codes from other Spacehey artists.
• "More Artists": A link to a list of Spacehey artists for fans to discover new music.
• "Shows": Link for concert ticket sales.
• "Group": Quick access to the Spacehey Music group.
• "Forums": Faster access to the Spacehey Music forums.

"General Info" Table: This table replaces the original interests table, allowing the addition of band/artist data: Members, Website, Influences, Similar Sounds, Record Label, and Label Type.

"Upcoming Concerts" Table: Features up to eight boxes to detail live shows, including date, venue, and how to get tickets or attend.

Automatic Music Player: Allows integration of a player that displays the song title and its cover art with automatic playback.

Important Notes for Artists

This code makes significant modifications to the base Spacehey profile. It is essential to understand that:

• 1. The interests table transforms into the "General Info" table.
• 2. The "Blurbs" section is also modified: the "Who I'd like to meet" section is removed, making this space available for the artist to place all the additional codes, including the Spacehey Music code itself.

Artists are encouraged to fill in all the table fields and provide the necessary links (music, videos, tickets) to offer comprehensive information to their followers and to be included in the Spacehey artists list.
